Chiu Chow Association Secondary School (CCASS), also known as 潮州會館中學 in Chinese, is located in Heng On Estate, Ma On Shan, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. Established in 1987, it is one of the earliest government-subsidized secondary schools in Ma On Shan. The school’s educational philosophy is centred around “Success Education,” with the motto “敦品勵學.” CCASS believes every student has the potential for success and aims to help them learn, build confidence, achieve success, and contribute to society through diverse learning experiences.
The “Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre cum Museum” is situated within the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy at Pak Shing Kok, Tseung Kwan O. It was inaugurated on April 29, 2016, by Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time. The centre features four exhibition halls, offering interactive and multimedia facilities across various zones, including the “Fire Service History Zone,” “Fire and Ambulance Vehicle Exhibition Zone,” “Community Emergency Preparedness Education,” “Fire Service Exhibition Zone,” “Ambulance Service Exhibition Zone,” “Dispatch and Communication Exhibition Zone,” “Training Area,” “Community Engagement Zone,” “Major Incident Zone,” and “Heroes’ Hall.”
Apart from detailing the 150-year history, culture, and development of the Hong Kong Fire Services, the “Fire and Ambulance Education Center and Museum” also educates and promotes basic fire safety and first aid knowledge to the public, including how to respond during fire emergencies.
The “Extra Mile Charity Foundation” sponsored a visit to the “Fire and Ambulance Services Education Centre cum Museum” along with a lunch event for over 20 teachers and students from Chiu Chow Association Secondary School on February 11, 2023. This one-time sponsorship brought joy to all participants.
